Globally, paper tissue is used daily in the millions of tonnes. Since paper tissue is a single use waste, it is important to determine its environmental impact. The objective of this paper is to determine the environmental impact of paper tissue production using the APOS and Cut-off system model. This paper also discusses on the comparison of these two models and to determine the critical process in paper tissue production. It is found that the waste from paper tissue production contributes to midpoint environmental impact such as global warming, ozone depletion, eutrophication, ecotoxicity, human toxicity, resource depletion, and water consumption. It is determined that the critical process of tissue paper production can be traced to the pulping and retting and mixing of wood pulp in the manufacturing process.en_US
