The aim for this research is to improve a structure that can withstand the impact of the landslides by conducting a simulation of the landslides flow using the SLOPE/W software. A finding from this simulation will be used to determine a safe factor of safety (FOS) of 1.3 for the construction at the hilly area in fulfilling the requirement set up by Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia (JKR). This research studies took place at the hill of Cameron Highlands since this famous tourism attraction hill is located in tropical region of Malaysia and is subjected to heavy rainfall for long duration that gives a negative impact to the soil structure to hold the downpour for too long and thus causing a landslides. In order to improve a design on a proper structure that able to lessens the landslides impact that is affecting the stability and safety factor, the piling method by using spun piles is chosen by varying the position of the single, double and triple row piling on the slope. The piling row is utilised in the SLOPE/W software. Besides, this research also does a studies whether different angle of inclination affect the factor of safety of the slope. Based on the finding, double piling row is more efficient in minimising the slope instability risk by considering the cost and duration taken to complete the construction work. Data obtained are plotted and can be used as the future reference for the construction on the hilly area in Cameron Highlands.en_US
