Test and calibration of new nuclear survey meter prototype project is a project that involves research and test for calibration. To summarize the research that have been done in this project is, the author have studied on type of radiation which is the non-ionizing radiation and ionizing radiation. The type of survey meter focused on hand-held survey meter and especially Geiger-Muller counter survey meter. The new survey meter prototype designed and fabricated by researcher at Nuclear Malaysia is a Geiger-Muller counter prototype, so the author have studied the operation of the survey meter from the detector until its display. The authors also have performed type of test and requirement to test the new survey meter prototype until it pass the standard which is American National Standard Institute. All the test and calibration in this project have been done in Nuclear Malaysia. The results from the test, will determine the range and specification of this survey meter. Certificate of the calibration is the results if the survey meters have passed the standard.
