Abstract
This thesis reports the design and prototype of an advanced doorbell watcher system. This device is created to enhance the residential area in the current era. The main objective is actually to generate an advanced doorbell system to replace the current doorbell system in residential areas. The device should be able to function as a messenger to the resident when the resident is unable to answer the door due to loud noises or dozed off. This is when the advance doorbell watcher system has to function as an upper hand compare to the other ordinary doorbells. The doorbell has memory storage to store the messages which are in bytes. This thesis is to design a device that is capable of fulfilling all those objectives. Therefore a circuit is build to accommodate this device and it has to have extra component enhancing the objective. Microcontrollers are electronic components that need to be programmed with coding. These coding are done in software such as "MPLAB" or MicroC Pro which is being taught in University Tenaga Nasional. The advance doorbell watcher system transmits its messages to the computer as a storage device and it needs a medium to transfers such as Bluetooth, infrared and USB cable. The advanced doorbell watcher system also is being enhanced with a renewable energy application. The renewable energy stated here is the solar energy and it charges the batteries that supply the device. An ordinary doorbell system would use household supply to charge up but this advanced doorbell watcher system would be independent in using its own source. The reason of our country is situated at the equator makes this device beneficial to be widely used in this country.
