Geothermal is a one of the renewable energy that only available on the earth crust. This thesis examines the calculation and implementation of a geothermal power plant in Malaysia. It is the aim of the work to show that the implementation of geothermal power plant is not only possible, but promises many benefits to the environment. Geothermal energy is very new in Malaysia and not much been explored. Geothermal exploration in Malaysia and the progress of the current development to produce a geothermal power plant is still under research by the government agencies. The main objective of this project is collaborate with the government agencies that currently doing research on the geothermal energy in Malaysia and do calculation to estimate the possible amount of electrical power can be generated in the location of the case studies in this project. The results obtained is analyzed and show how good is the potential of generating electricity from geothermal energy in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah.
