Abstract
This thesis would give an opportunity to have an in-depth look on how ultrasound or ultrasonic (US) is used as an obstacle detector for the blind. The literature studies on ultrasound wave have been made and the researches were done to understand the behavior and the basic principles of the ultrasound and to achieve the objective of this project. The data collected were extracted from various sources such as physics textbook, optoelectronics books, and journals and relevant websites from the Internet. The gathered theory had helped us to design and implement the circuit for the thesis.
